JUBILII PART HEADQUORTERS RELOCATES TO KILELESHWA

The Jubilee Party headquarters is in Pangani, Nairobi.

The previous ruling party is now focused on fortifying itself in advance of the 2027 General Election, according to a statement from the party's secretary general Jeremiah Kioni, who also announced the new site.

As we develop and nurture the following generation of Jubilee leaders, our focus will continue to be on building our county, constituency, and ward offices and recruiting more members, according to Mr. Kioni.

The party offices were located in a seven-story building in Pangani, Nairobi, which was put up for auction after the general election in August. The bank hoped to gain Sh435 million from the valuable property.

People acquainted with the loan claim that Stanbic Bank Kenya was attempting to recoup the funds from a debt that was in default last year.

The structure, which occupies 0.56 acres, was home to a prominent member of President Daniel arap Moi's administration who also served as a Rift Valley MP.

According to Caleb Kositany, the deputy secretary of the Jubilee party at the time, the party was renting the seven-story structure for roughly Sh90 million per year. Jubilee Party, which was created in September 2016 by the union of 12 parties, has at least one elected person in 41 of Kenya's 47 counties.

It gained 171 seats in the National Assembly, including 25 of the 47 female deputies and 140 of the 290 constituencies, 25 of the 47 woman representatives, and six of the 12 nominated MPs – coming just 62 shy of a two-thirds majority.

The party further cemented its position as the largest political force in Kenya at the time by winning 25 governor seats and 34 of the 67 senator seats (of which 25 were elected). The Uhuru party was founded seven years ago but has yet to hold local elections to choose its leaders.

Those now in power were chosen during the National Delegates Convention in February 2022. (NDC) Joshua Kutuny, a former Cherang'any MP, is serving as Mr. Kioni's replacement as the SG. Nelson Dzuya is the chairperson, and David Murathe is his vice.

Former Kitutu Chache MP Jimmy Angwenyi, along with Kinoti Gatobu, Naomi Shabaan, and Peter Mositet, are the Deputy Party Leaders in charge of Strategy, Operations, Outreach, and Programs, respectively. Mr. Kenyatta is the Party Leader.

Since then, Mr. Angwenyi has joined the Kenya Kwanza Alliance, led by President William Ruto (KKA). According to Prof. Masibo Lumala of Moi University, the reason the erstwhile ruling Jubilee party was gobbled up was due to the inadequate alliances and structures that were created after the election.

"We can refer to it as a Kenyan custom. We seem to not have the same political party that took part in the previous election; instead, we have new alliances every election year., we have new coalitions, we do not seem to have the same political party which participated in the previous one.

Parties have changed since Narc came to power in 2002 and created the current system, according to Prof. Lumala. "The fact that Uhuru won his second term and his break with Ruto, tremendously hurt the party," he continued.

Second, there are no party organizations. The majority of Kenya's political parties employ hand-selected officials rather than elected ones.
