On Tuesday, honoring a summons from the DCI about his Karen home raid allegations. His attorneys are now concerned that the DCI may be secretly attempting to hold Matiang'i in order to arrest him. The cross-examination was supposed to be about the summons, but when they got to the DCI.

The questioning shifted when the investigating officers started asking Matiangi about his assets, his attorney, Danstan Omari, told Citizen Digital. A person has the right to stay silent under Article 49 of the Constitution.

And it appears that the former Interior CS exercised that right by declining to answer any of the questions. The officers then announced that he would be arrested. They left the former CS and his crew in the boardroom after saying they needed to acquire his fingerprints.

The legal team for Matiangi claims that they have anticipatory bail orders and would not permit their client to be held against his or her will. DCI has not yet responded or provided an update on the questioning.
