KYIV, April 14 (Reuters) Ukraine will "test and use" any non-restricted weapons to free its region, including Russian-involved Crimea, the head of its Public Safety and Safeguard Chamber said on Friday.
Oleksiy Danilov's remark accompanies Kyiv's expected to mount a counteroffensive in the next few weeks or months pointed toward retaking a Russian-held area in the south and east.
"Crimea is the domain of Ukraine, and we will test and use there any weapons not precluded by worldwide regulations that will assist with freeing our domains," he tweeted. Kyiv's Western accomplices have offered vital military help, including present-day fight tanks and defensively covered vehicles, since Russia's full-scale intrusion last year.
However, they have avoided giving heavier weapons, for example, F-16 warrior jets, which Ukraine has requested. Kyiv has likewise been fostering its own weapons, for example, drones and the Neptune rocket, which it says it used to sink the leader of Russia's Dark Ocean Armada last year.
