Milenko Maric: Man Removed From UK Over Supposed War Crimes

 

A man has been removed from the UK and sent to Croatia due to supposed atrocities dating back over 30 years. Derbyshire Police said a worldwide arrest warrant was given for Milenko Maric by Croatian examiners in 2001 for "wrongdoings against humanity.".

The 63-year-old, who was living in Derby, was requested to be removed at Westminster Judges' Court in September 2022. The power company said the removal occurred on April 5.

More than 100,000 individuals passed away during the Balkans battle somewhere in the range between 1991 and 1995. Mr. Maric, who is Serbian, is blamed for being an individual. 

A local army bunch that eliminated various regular citizens of non-Serbian ethnicity, beginning from the Baranya district of Croatia, attacked them during August and September 1991. Court reports state Mr. Maric, has lived in the UK. 

Since around 2000, recently stood preliminary for similar offenses in Croatia in 2017 and was cleared. In any case, the conviction was hence overturned by the country's High Court, and a retrial was requested.

Last year, he went against removal from the UK on the grounds of infirmity, but this was dismissed by a local judge.
