Best Homemade Pulav Recipe To Help Manage Blood Sugar

Diabetics may frequently be limited to natively constructed cooking that deals with the sugar content in each dish. In any case, there is a consistent degree of opportunity to expand your custom-made food sources.

And add a flavorsome yet nutritious feast to your day-to-day diet. Bean Dalia Pulav is one such feast that is high in dietary fiber and further develops assimilation. It helps with keeping up with cholesterol as well as glucose levels, making it the ideal recipe for diabetics.

You can easily make Bean Dalia Pulav by following this recipe. Here's a simple and delicious recipe for a homemade pulav that is both flavorful and diabetes-friendly:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of brown rice (soaked for at least 30 minutes)
  • 2 cups of water
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 medium-sized onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon of ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon of coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon of garam masala
  • 1 cup of mixed vegetables (such as carrots, peas, and bell peppers), chopped
  • Salt to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a medium-sized saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds.

  2. Add the chopped onion and sauté until it becomes translucent.

  3. Add the ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute until the raw smell disappears.

  4. Add the coriander powder and garam masala and sauté for another minute.

  5. Add the mixed vegetables and sauté for a few minutes until they are cooked.

  6. Add the soaked brown rice to the saucepan and mix well with the vegetables.

  7. Add 2 cups of water and salt to taste. Bring the mixture to a boil.

  8. Lower the heat and cover the saucepan with a lid. Cook the pulav on low heat for 25-30 minutes until the rice is cooked through and the water is absorbed.

  9. Turn off the heat and let the pulav sit covered for 5-10 minutes before serving.

This pulav is a healthy and tasty option for people with diabetes as it is made with brown rice instead of white rice, which has a lower glycemic index and is less likely to cause spikes in blood sugar levels. Additionally, mixed vegetables provide essential nutrients and fiber to help manage blood sugar levels.
