WHAT IS BREAST CANCER




What is breast cancer?is a disease in which cells in the breast grow out of control. There are different kinds of breast cancer.

Types of breast cancer?

  1. Ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS).

Symptoms of breast cancer

  • bloody discharge from the nipple and changes in the shape or texture of the nipple or breast.
  • Changes to the skin over the breast, such as dimpling.

  • A newly inverted nipple.
  • Peeling, scaling, crusting, or flaking of the pigmented area of skin surrounding the nipple (areola) or breast skin.
  • Redness or pitting of the skin over your breast, like the skin of an orange.

Treatment of cancer. 

Cancer treatments depend on the stage of cancer. Treatments may consist of chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery.


A common type of breast cancer is Ductal carcinoma is the most common type of breast cancer. This type of cancer forms in the lining of a milk duct within your breast. The ducts carry breast milk from the lobules, where it's made, to the nipple.

How to prevent breast cancer? by not taking tobacco, Eating a healthy diet, Maintaining a healthy weight and being physically active, Protecting yourself from the sun, Getting vaccinated, Avoiding risky behaviors, and Getting regular medical care.

Breast cancers double in size every 180 days or about every 6 months on average. Still, the rate of growth for any specific cancer will depend on many factors. Every person and every cancer is different.
